Can anyone help in moving a car?

I’m trying to get a car that has been locked away in a lock-up in Gosport, UK back to my house in Gloucestershire.

The car has been sat there since 2002. It has a flat battery and 1 flat tyre.

I cannot budge it from it’s standing, and the garage is too small to be opening the boot/bonet up to work on it. There is no room to work around it.

I somehow need to find a way to get it out of the lockup, dragged up onto a trailer to be transported back to Gloucestershire.

Any ideas?

Six years means the handbrake is seized on. The clutch may be seized on too so make sure it is in neutral before you start. I doubt if you will be successful heaving it about as the others have said. Most pick up trucks have a winch which should pull the car out if the truck can get in line with the car. You need to tell the pick up man what the task is so that he arrives with a powerful winch. Be careful where the tow cable is attached. Screw in eyes can rip out under too much strain. A strop around the front subframe is best, with you and others if possible pushing from the back. If you can reinflate the flat tyre it will help. Good luck.

Herbie rides again 1967 from Port Hedland via Perth and Esperance to Norseman

After Herbies Operation , second hand valves sourced from wreckers yard as well
as welding bulk-head and fitting a set of re-enforcement arms near front torsion bar we were off on our way to Perth , virtually non stop .
Perth we were lucky to have accomodation with the Halcombes for a few days .
Our 4 Weeks accomodation came about because of our work requirement to top up travel money .
We undertook a few 1 day trips on the Weekends .
One out to wave rock at Hayden . It was a 40 C degree Day and the VW Engine pinked . Overheating and expansion of the cylinders which causes loss of compression .
After we fitted a cardboard scoop to the air intake below the rear window .
when you are in the Pemberton forrest go climb the Gloucester tree .
Further travel to Norseman via Esperance .
